Position Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Department: Quality
Report to: Supplier Quality Leader
Scope of Position: The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will demonstrate leadership in supplier quality management and supplier development. In this role, you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute supplier quality objectives and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals
Responsibilities:
• Work in accordance with global purchasing process to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
• Monitor, maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule
• Conduct supplier audits in accordance with ISO TS16949 and VDA6.3 to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
• Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including Supplier OTD, SPPM and waste
• Drive the APQP & PPAP approval process with supplier and be liaison between supplier and approval team. Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals
• Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances
• Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
• Develop long‐term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas. Source, select and qualify new suppliers in Vietnam in accordance with global purchasing process.
• Aide manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process
• Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Gentherm requirements. Projects may include: VDA6.3 audit, process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6‐Sigma, Lean, 5S and Kaizen events
• Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non‐conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and quality system
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
• Verify the implementation of solutions

Yêu cầu công việc :

• Working experience:
- At least +2 years experienced in the same position, level, environment; automotive industry is preferred
- Proven record of high level of compliance and quality mind set
• Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering
• Competencies:
- Personality : Good communicator, Assertive, Drive, Fair, Patient, Responsible.
- Must adopt a practical approach towards work
- Must be methodical
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills – able to analyse data and information from different areas of the business and come up with a summarized conclusion and argument
- Team work skills – able work in a team and in harmony with all team members but at the same time confident of
own skills and opinions
