Primary Function:
Responsible for business development, sourcing, placement, shipment and post-shipment processes for designated merchandising area(s) and geographic market(s) by partnering with business partners and cross functional teams (CFT).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify potential business partners by pre-screening their production capacity, capabilities and business expectations; guides new business partners through on-boarding process.
• Communicate market intelligence and assist Manager in identifying product category opportunities.
• Provides development samples and cost information in a timely and effective manner
• Interprets, analyzes and executes objectives with vendors/Quality Assurance team to ensure sourcing objectives are met
• Utilize cross functional partnerships to ensure business partners follow all Target requirements and standards and meet program timing and action (T&A).
• Responsible for post-placement follow-up and ensure vendor timing and action (VTA) is complete and accurate to meet quantity, quality, product specifications and delivery requirements.
• Maintain close contact with Headquarter (HQ) counterparts and CFT to ensure implementation of their strategies, goals and objectives.
• Works with Quality Assurance team to manage and solve issues to ensure quality and on time delivery
• Keeps all working partners abreast of potential issues/delays and help to find creative solutions
• Schedules overseas travel itineraries for Buyers/Corporate Merchants and escorts them to their vendor visits to ensure product development and sourcing objectives are executed and achieved.
• Promote TSS focus areas and link own work to Target Corporation’s vision and values.

Yêu cầu công việc :

Minimum requirements:
• Bachelors degree in textile, supply chain management
• 5 years of sourcing and/or merchandising experience in garments
• Working experience in Apparels and/or Accessories in buying office or trading company is a definite advantage
• Moderate level of market and industry knowledge within the relevant geographic area
• Technical knowledge and expertise of specific product categories sourced
• Strong ability to cost specific product categories
• Knowledge of global trade, shipment and payment
• Independent and works well with others
• Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills
• Result oriented, self-motivated, dedicated and committed to continuous learning
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Must be proficient in both written and spoken English
• Advanced Computer skills and able to use all relevant tools and systems
